About the event

This half-day class is fast-paced, hands-on, and built with first responders in mind. We’re taking the complicated world of special needs and breaking it down into tactics you can actually use in the field—because theory doesn’t help you at 2 a.m. when the call goes sideways.

You’ll learn how to spot behavioral red flags before things escalate, adjust your approach in real time, and keep officer safety front and center. We’ll cover autism, developmental disabilities, and sensory processing disorders, among other disabilities, and show you how small changes in tactics can make a huge difference on scene.

Bottom line: you’ll walk out with tools you can use on your very next shift. And yes—it’s interactive, practical, and a lot more fun than you’d expect.
